Siwen Xie

Landscape Designer

Passionate about regenerative systems and landscape’s capacity to remediate and enhance the built environment, Siwen Xie joins RELM upon earning a Master of Landscape Architecture from Harvard Graduate School of Design. During her studies, Siwen’s studio projects investigated how performative design can ameliorate pollution, increase agricultural production, and improve urban cityscapes. She adroitly understands large systems and how to visualize their complexity and inter-relationships while still conveying intimacy of a landscape. Ecology improves quality of life. Gifted in parametric modeling, Siwen is working with RELM’s senior designers crafting rendered site plans, diagrams, and analyzing site context for a suite of typologies: federal office, education, and multi-family housing..

‘Landscape architecture—its systems, its materiality, both hard and soft—can be employed in infinite ways to better the built environment. I enjoy exploring these possibilities through modeling.’
