Xinxin Shen

Landscape Designer

A recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Xinxin joined RELM following her studio internship during her Masters studies. Adeptly talented in visual representation and conceptual design, she works alongside senior leaders to conceive and detail landscapes across a spectrum of project types. Currently, Xinxin is helping advance The Creek at Dominguez Hills, an 83-acre park in the City of Carson. Her renderings have been critical in conveying the ecological and social benefit the park will yield for the local community. While an intern, she worked on a high rise residential project in downtown Los Angeles and Kaiser Irwindale. Xinxin looks forward to contributing her parametric software skills at RELM, performing site and regional analysis investigating water flows, grading, shadow, and wind.

‘Designing landscapes in an urban context is like stage design. I look to create a proscenium for people to linger and where storylines unfold.’
